The Okanagan Gondola is set to become a year-round destination within the natural landscape of the North Okanagan. The project reimagines the traditional gondola experience by combining breathtaking views with outdoor exploration and thoughtfully designed spaces that reflect the character and beauty of the Okanagan landscape, creating a place for visitors of all ages to explore and connect.
Guests will journey by gondola to a summit offering sweeping views of Kalamalka Lake and the surrounding mountains. At the top, guests will find scenic walking trails, viewpoints, and dining experiences that invite them to slow down, take in the landscape, and savour the regional flavours of the Okanagan. At the base, a welcoming plaza will offer gathering spaces, casual food and drink, and convenient access to the gondola.
Future phases of the experience will introduce additional outdoor adventure elements, including an Adventure Park with attractions such as a mountain coaster, zip lines, and interactive play areas designed for families and guests of all ages.
The structures at Okanagan Gondola are designed to sit comfortably within the landscape, with natural materials and forms that respond to the surrounding hills. The intent is to create built elements that complement the setting and minimize visual impact.
RCP joined the project in early 2025, providing project management and advisory support. The team has contributed infrastructure planning insight, design and construction oversight while working alongside the client and consultant team to support a coordinated delivery schedule.
