Biography

Bevan leads RCP's Canadian operation from Vancouver, where he has been growing the office since RCP launched its first international office in 2024.

Bevan started out on site, spending his first decade in the industry as a carpenter and superintendent before completing a Building Science degree and joining RCP. That background gave him an instinct for how projects function and what drives the people involved, from site teams through to owners and developers. It was also what drew him toward the Client facing side, wanting to be closer to where decisions are made and to have real influence over how projects are set up for success.

Over more than a decade with RCP, Bevan has worked across a wide range of projects and grown through leadership roles before taking on the challenge of establishing RCP's first international office in British Columbia.

In Canada, Bevan is building RCP's presence in a market where the concept of dedicated, independent owner representation is still relatively new. The ability to work alongside clients from the earliest stages of a project, shaping strategy, procurement and delivery before the big decisions are locked in, is where RCP adds the most value. He is focused on growing the team, deepening client relationships and continuing to deliver work that demonstrates what that approach can achieve.

What excites Bevan most about the Canadian market is the scale of what is possible. His time with RCP has prepared him well, but building something new in a completely different market has been the steepest and most rewarding learning curve of his career. He sees the knowledge flowing in both directions, bringing a distinctly New Zealand perspective to Canada while taking back insights that will continue to shape how RCP thinks and delivers globally.

"We come from one of the most isolated market in the world. We've always had to think harder about how to deliver, and that's exactly the mindset this market needs right now."

"We want to be there before people think about it, helping them shape the thinking rather than reacting to decisions already made."
