Biography

With a background spanning the UK, New York, New Zealand, and Canada, Matt Taylor brings a wealth of international development and project management experience to RCP British Columbia's team. 

Matt’s journey began in architecture, where he developed a keen eye for design and a passion for creating meaningful spaces and architecture. His transition into project management allowed him to broaden his perspective and focus on a holistic view of projects, from acquisition and due diligence to construction and operations.

Matt has embraced the unique work cultures in each location and has forged invaluable relationships recognizing that successful projects are built on effective collaboration and understanding.

Matt’s approach is simple: get the job done. “I thrive in dynamic environments, juggling multiple tasks while maintaining a focus on what truly matters.” 

Core to Matt's success is his ability to think creatively while keeping a practical mindset, finding innovative solutions to maximize project profitability and efficiency, and leveraging his holistic understanding of the development process.

Renovating his own home has also deepened Matt’s understanding of construction and design. "Hands-on experience teaches invaluable lessons you can't get anywhere else." 

Whether it's biking, camping, or snowboarding, when he's not in the office, Matt can be found exploring the great outdoors.

Matt has been in Vancouver for the last five years, before which he worked for RCP in New Zealand for several years.

"I'm delighted to be back with the RCP team. They are an entrepreneurial company, and I'm thrilled to be part of helping them start something new."
